Understanding isn't always the answer

I understand why I get 'blue' as the sun fades earlier each day but it still sucks.  I hate being so sluggish and sad.   Beth

oops

If you are a person who is embarassed by the mention of bodily fluids, stop reading.

You have been warned!  LOL

Yesterday, curled up in the recliner, watching tv, the two dogs curled up on the chair with me, sneezed.  Now when you are a woman of a certain age when you sneeze certain muscles release and a warm feeling often fills your...underware.

I rose as rapidly as I can and heard a distinctive snap, one of my double point needles broke in two.  Top those two things off with my inability to make sense of the instructions on the basic stocking pattern for the heel turn, (it took writing it down to get in to my brain and stick), and before dinner I was in a mood.

Then my wonderful son-in-law made from scratch chicken and dumplings!  Yum!  After dinner the heel turn went beautifully and the stocking is heading toward the toe.

Millions of mothers can't be wrong!  Chicken is good for you!

The sil's new scedual means he is home at 11 am.  I make lunch for the both of us.  He got a good deal on chicken quarters so there were three left over.  This morning I removed the skin, covered them in season salt and onion powder and put them in the crock pot.

I coved each with a fat teaspoon of knotts berry farm jallapeno jelly and added a can of chicken and rice soup and a can of water.

I started it on high at 6 am and by 11 it was done.

We had a quarter each hot for lunch and them I sheaded the last one, added mayo and relish and have chicken salad for dinner toninght.

The only thing I would add comes from the sil's sugestion, a clove of garlic while cooking.

Stockings and Grandchildren and Fan-fiction Oh My!

Am I a bad grandmother becuase I got so wrapped up in my knitting this afternoon that I did not leave the house to pick up the grandchildren until they were already being disminsed from school?......oops......

Stocking number one has all the colorwork done!  Yeah!  now to get the leg the right length and then proceed onward to the toe!

Working on two new fan fics at the same time.  It seems if my mind is being creative, say, knitting, it kicks the other creative areas in to gear too.

Now my little eyelids are trying to cover my little eyeballs so....off to sleep.  I don't think I'm going to see the documentary at 1 am.  Oh well I just leave it on PBS maybe I'll absorb it by osmosis!  LOL

ARRRRGGGGG!

So y'all know I write Harry Potter fan fiction.  A HUGE plot bunny sat on me and want's me to write of how the world of Harry Potter would react to what happens in the real world during the timeline aJKR has set out.

Well I need to research what happened on 9/11 in England, especially in Tony Blair's office that day.  No matter how I look it up I get conspiracy therories and useless drivel!

AAAARRRRGGGG!

I'd just shut down the computer and try to sleep but I know how my mind works, it has an idea and the prose is bursting to come out!

Why oh why do I have to be such and reseach geek!  LOL

puppy kisses and warm paws

Lying beside me, just head and front paws peeking from under the covers, Coco is sleeping.

This little bundle of love is absolutely amazing. She spent 30 minutes tonight playing with her toys, Momma and Ariana. Then she and Rosie had a rousing round of ‘chase me’ and hide and seek.

Now she has fluffed and found just the right spot, with one paw touching momma to sleep.

I love sleeping in the same bed as her. I’ve had other dogs that dreamed, ran in their sleep and even woofed at imaginations wisps, but she is the first who wags her tail in her sleep.

When I roll over she snuggles closer without even waking up. When I wake for the day she has to start my day with puppy kisses.
